Pinehurst Resort is seeking an MRI Technologist to ensure patient safety and produce high-quality MRI studies. You will communicate with patients, radiologists, and staff while assisting with procedures and coordinating patient flow.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Active ARRT (R), ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for MRI contraindications.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images.
  • Position patients with immobilization and protective equipment.
  • Conduct MRI safety screenings prior to procedures.
  • Start IVs and administer contrast media per protocol.
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and accuracy.
  • Assist with supplies, cleaning, and patient transport preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and radiologists.
  • Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators as needed.
  • Coordinate scheduling and assist patient flow to improve efficiency.
  • Identify hazards related to magnetic fields and mitigate risks.

JOB SUMMARY

The MRI Technologist is responsible for ensuring patient safety and producing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) studies. This role requires effective communication with patients, staff, and radiologists, and may include training new technologists and/or patient coordinators as needed.

The MRI Technologist is responsible for ensuring patient safety and producing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) studies. This role requires effective communication with patients, staff, and radiologists, and may include training new technologists and/or patient coordinators as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient safety, including thorough pre-screening for MRI contraindications and proper aseptic injection techniques
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images
  • Position patients using appropriate immobilization and protective equipment to comply with safety regulations and ensure patient/staff safety
  • Conduct MRI safety screenings prior to procedure performance
  • Start IVs and administer contrast media as directed and according to protocol
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and accuracy
  • Manage supplies, assist with daily cleaning of MRI unit, and support patient transport preparation
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and radiologists
  • Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators as assigned
  • Coordinate scheduling logistics and assist with patient flow to optimize efficiency
  • Conduct MRI safety screenings prior to procedure performance by identifying and mitigating potential hazards related to magnetic fields, equipment, and patient conditions within the MRI environment.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Active ARRT (R), ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT certification
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1–2 years of MRI experience preferred
