Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Noblesville, IN is hiring a full-time MRI Technologist to join our Indy Team. The role involves conducting MRI procedures, patient prep and positioning, and maintaining safety standards in a patient‑focused setting.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Screen patients before exam for precautions or contradictions using two patient identifiers.
  • Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures and position them for scanning.
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Adjust MRI scan parameters correctly as needed.
  • Follow physicians' orders, conform to safety regulations, and maintain RIS records.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean work area and sanitize equipment.
  • Keep MRI equipment clean, disinfected, and in good working order.
  • Meet ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Assist with maintaining imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  • Assist in training new team members.

This is a full‑time position working 40 hours per week; shifts Monday‑Friday, 12:00pm - 8:30pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
  2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
  3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
  7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
  8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
(5%) MRI Department Support
  1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Required:
  1. High School diploma, or equivalent
  2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
  4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  7. Certification in imaging specialty
Preferred:
  • Bilingual
