Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking an MRI Technologist for weekend shifts in Rochester, NY. The role includes Saturdays and Sundays with extended hours, plus on-call coverage as needed. You will operate GE MRI scanners, prepare patients, and coordinate imaging results with physicians.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in MRI or Radiology, NY license, BLS, and injection certification. Prior trauma center experience and EPIC familiarity are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in MRI or Radiology.
• Two+ years MRI experience.
• Experience with GE MRI scanners.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Injection certification as applicable.
• NY State Radiologic Technologist license (or willingness to obtain).
• ARRT certification preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• EPIC experience within the last year is a plus.

Job Summary for MRI Tech - Weekends

Position: MRI Technologist
Location: Rochester NY
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday (7am-7:30pm), Monday (10am-10:30pm); includes holidays, on-call, and callback as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI scanner efficiently and safely
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Prepare patients for MRI scans and explain procedures for patient comfort
• Insert IVs as required for testing
• Coordinate with physicians to provide and communicate diagnostic imaging results
• Document all procedures, maintaining confidentiality of patient information
• Perform patient care tasks as needed

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Associate's degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Radiology
• Minimum of two (2) years' MRI experience
• Experience with GE MRI scanners
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Injection certification
• NYS Radiologic Technologist license (or willingness to obtain after hire)
• ARRT certification preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• EPIC experience within the last year is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Must be available for on-call and callback coverage per unit needs
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends as scheduled
• Must be able to obtain TB skin test
• Must comply with all hospital policies and maintain patient confidentiality
