Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our Brooklyn radiology team. You will maintain imaging equipment, calibrate MRI/MRA consoles, and operate injectors while ensuring patient safety during procedures.

The role requires an Associate Degree, current state licensure, CPR certification, and at least one year of MRI experience. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication are essential in our collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and adjust imaging equipment.
• Calibrate MRI (MRA) consoles and peripheral hardware.
• Operate injectors with proficiency.
• Ensure patient safety using aseptic injection techniques and appropriate pre-screening.
• Address patient concerns throughout the procedure.
• Flush IV lines post-contrast injection.
• Accurately follow physician orders for imaging areas.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including medical history review and answering procedural questions.
• Shield exposed areas of the body to protect the patient during imaging.
• Attach physiological monitoring leads as necessary.
• Provide headphones for patient comfort.
• Properly position patients for imaging.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MRI Technologist

Location: Brooklyn (Nostrand Ave), NY

Schedule: 4/10 hour shifts per week

Organization: New York Imaging (NYI)
