RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and produce diagnostic images with a patient-centered approach and strict safety standards.

This full-time position runs Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM; responsibilities include patient screening, procedure explanations, image acquisition, parameter adjustments, RIS record-keeping, and adherence to accreditation requirements. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, per state regulations.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state, if required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Sufficient training and experience to perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images following safety standards.
• Screen patients and obtain two identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
• Explain procedures and position patients for accurate imaging.
• Adjust MRI parameters and follow physicians' orders.
• Maintain RIS records and patient safety.
• Keep equipment clean, sanitized, and well-maintained; uphold accreditation standards.
• Assist with imaging protocol updates and software upgrades.
• Monitor supply inventory and assist in training new team members.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a Full-Time position working Wednesday-Friday 7am-8pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
