OS1 Orthopedic & Sports Injury Clinic is a walk-in orthopedic clinic focused on providing fast, expert care so patients can get better, sooner. The clinic treats individuals of all ages for sports injuries, fractures, sprains, joint pain, post-operative needs, and a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. OS1 operates seven days a week, including evenings and weekends, and offers on-site X-ray, MRI (including open MRI), splinting, casting, PRP, and cortisone treatments. Same-day or next-day MRI appointments are a core differentiator, supported by sports medicine fellowship-trained providers. This full-time, on-site MRI Technologist role is based in Birmingham, AL. The MRI Technologist will perform high-quality MRI exams according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, explaining procedures, screening for contraindications, and monitoring patient safety and comfort throughout the scan. The technologist will operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment, optimize imaging parameters, and work closely with radiologists and orthopedic providers to support timely clinical decisions. Additional duties include maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to imaging safety and infection control standards, coordinating same-day or next-day imaging workflows, and assisting with general clinic operations as needed.
