Job summary

A healthcare imaging company in Los Angeles is looking for an MRI Technologist. This part-time role involves performing high-quality MRI exams, ensuring patient safety, and guiding patients through the examination process. Qualified candidates must have relevant certifications and preferably some experience in diagnostic imaging. The position provides opportunities for cross-training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Certification in MRI technology required.
• 1+ years of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.
• BLS certification.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Ensure patient safety and adhere to protocols.
• Guide patients and respond to their questions.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through the exam process by explaining steps and addressing questions.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers and respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
