The role requires ARRT MR (or ARMRIT/ARRT(R)) certification, BLS, MRI safety adherence, and preferred 1–2 years of MRI experience. 12-hour shifts are scheduled; sign-on bonus and relocation may be available.

Qualifications

  • ARRT MR or ARMRIT or ARRT(R) cross-trained in MR.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • IV competency within 30 days of hire.
  • 1–2 years MRI technologist experience (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree may be preferred in some cases.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains ARRT or modality competency in clinical and technical functions.
  • Identifies patients and verifies orders; prepares for exams.
  • Performs MRI exams per protocol; reviews image quality.
  • Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains safe environment.
  • Completes studies within time limits while ensuring care quality.
  • Assists students and other MRI staff with protocols and positioning.
  • Provides patient education and ensures comfort; addresses concerns.
  • Maintains infection control and sterile technique.
  • Operates equipment and related information systems for quality imaging.
  • Keeps accurate records of patient data, procedures, and reactions.

Job Description:As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic MRI exams on patients using specialized equipment. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of imaging techniques, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.This role will work rotating 12 hour shifts. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
