Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team in Houston. You will perform MRI examinations, prepare patients, and ensure safety and accuracy while coordinating with physicians and staff.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited MRI program, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, and American Heart Association BLS. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and complete necessary paperwork for each patient and exam.
  • Transport patients to and from rooms and ER.
  • Monitor MRI equipment for mechanical safety.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices for optimal views.
  • Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging Department to meet department needs.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • You will be responsible for reviewing and completing appropriate paperwork on every patient as required including exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
  • You will be responsible for transporting patients to and from their rooms and ER.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring the equipment for mechanical safety.
  • You will be responsible for explaining procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • You will be responsible for positioning patients on examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by Physician.
  • You will work as a team player and meet the needs of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
  • Graduate of an accredited MRI program is required.
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT required
  • American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
