Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring an MRI Technologist II for a Full Time, Day Shift. The role performs MRI examinations, maintains safety, and ensures documentation and supply readiness. A 15K sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Ideal candidates hold MRI-related certification (CNMT/ARDMS/ARRT/ARMRIT) and have completed an MRI school or certificate program (preferred). BLS is required. Sentara RMH is a magnet-designated hospital serving the local community.

Qualifications

• Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program (Preferred).
• Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required).
• CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT (Required).
• Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI area.
• Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.
• Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.
• Provide quality MRI imaging under supervision and protocol standards.
• Review patient records for accuracy and evaluate implants/devices through vendor resources.
• Maintains patient records, reports, and files.
• Acts as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel.

Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patient records, reports, and files.
