Job summary

RadNet in Glendale, CA is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, administer contrast when needed, and optimize imaging parameters to produce clear diagnostic images.

As part of a patient-centered, fast-paced environment, you will guide patients, respond to physician questions, safeguard PHI, and collaborate with cross-functional staff to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certification as MR technologist or ARRT/ARMRIT preferred.
• State radiologic license where applicable.
• BLS certified and current.
• Venipuncture competency may be required by state.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to policies and protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed in a safe and effective manner.
• Adjust TR/TE/flip, slice thickness, field of view for quality imaging.
• Guide patients through the exam, answering questions and concerns.
• Respond to physician questions regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient PHI and on-site medications per policy.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families and the public.
• Establish and nurture cooperative working relationships.

When you join us as an MRI Technologist you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
• Must have BLS certification
• A venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!
