Job summary

Florida Radiology Consultants seeks an MRI Technologist to join a team delivering high-quality imaging services. You will perform MRI exams, inject contrast as needed, and ensure protocols and safety standards are followed. The role includes shift coverage with on-call and holiday rotation at the Rio Vista location.

The position requires Florida CRT license, ARRT MR certification, and BLS. Prior radiology technologist experience is preferred, with at least one year in MRI advantageous.

  • Experience as Radiology Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs MRI examinations accurately with appropriate exam protocols.
  • Uses PACS and RIS systems in accordance with protocols and manufacturer guidance.
  • Applies knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy; follows safety practices in the magnet area.
  • Provides care for patients across all ages (infant to older adults).

*Position Purpose *

As an MRI Technologist you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care in a clinic or practice environment. An MRI Technologist injects patients with contrast media, such as a dye, so that the images will show up on the scanner. The scanners use magnetic fields in combination with the contrast agent to produce images that a physician can use to diagnose medical problems

*What you will do:
  • * Performs MRI examination accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam.
  • * Knowledgeable in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations.
  • * Demonstrates a working knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy. Demonstrates an understanding of magnetic physics and practices appropriate safety procedures in the magnet area.
  • * Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).
*Licensure: *
  • * Florida CRT License is required.
  • * ARRT is required
  • * ARRT (MR) is required
  • * BLS certification is required
  • * Experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred.
  • * At least one year of MRI experience is preferred.
  • * Hospital experience is preferred
