Job summary

Holy Cross Health Florida Fort Lauderdale is seeking an MRI Technologist to deliver quality patient care in a clinic or practice setting. You will inject contrast media and operate MRI scanners, following protocols to produce diagnostically useful images.

This full-time role requires on-call and holiday rotation, and occasional travel to offsite MRI facilities. Florida CRT, ARRT, ARRT MR and BLS are required; 1 year MRI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Florida CRT license required.
• ARRT certification required.
• ARRT (MR) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• MRI experience preferred (1+ year).
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI examinations accurately with protocol awareness.
• Uses PACS and RIS per set protocols and manufacturer guidance.
• Maintains knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and safety practices in the magnet area.
• Serves patients from infants to older adults per performance standards.

Position Purpose

As an MRI Technologist you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care in a clinic or practice environment. An MRI Technologist injects patients with contrast media, such as a dye, so that the images will show up on the scanner. The scanners use magnetic fields in combination with the contrast agent to produce images that a physician can use to diagnose medical problems

What you will do

• Performs MRI examination accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam.
• Knowledgeable in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy. Demonstrates an understanding of magnetic physics and practices appropriate safety procedures in the magnet area.
• Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).

Licensure

• Florida CRT License is required.
• ARRT is required
• ARRT (MR) is required
• BLS certification is required
• Experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred.
• At least one year of MRI experience is preferred.
• Hospital experience is preferred
