Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking an MRI Technologist for the Radiology department at the Covington hospital. This full-time role requires 36 hours biweekly, with weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

You will perform MRI procedures, ensure patient safety, and support accurate documentation and charging. Qualified candidates should have MRI program credentials, ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is current.
• Graduate of an approved MRI program.
• Registered MR tech or ARMRIT certification required or within 2 years of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and generate diagnostic images.

Shift/Hours: Full-Time - 36 hours/biweekly, Saturday & Sunday 7A-730P

Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused MRI Technologist responsible for performing all technical aspects of MRI procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation. This role ensures the safety of patients, visitors, and staff throughout all examinations, administers contrast and utilizes pressure injectors in accordance with established protocols, obtains and documents required consents and patient history, including any previous contrast reactions, and maintains compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and all applicable safety regulations. The MRI Technologist is responsible for accurate documentation, procedure coding and charging, maintaining department cleanliness and supplies, utilizing required computer systems, and providing exceptional patient care while demonstrating the clinical knowledge and technical skills necessary to meet organizational, state, federal, and accreditation standards. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support departmental operations.

Education, Credentials, Licenses

Education and National Credentials:

• Current CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved accredited program of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
• Registered by the ARRT (MR) or the American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT)

OR

• Complete ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) within 27 months of job assignment.
• Complete MR competency checklist within first 90 days of job assignment.
• Complete ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) certification within 2 years of competency checklist completion.
• NOTE: State Licensure is NOT required by the state of Kentucky or Indiana because this job is a non-radiation producing position.

Specialized Knowledge

• Effective communication skills
• Proven competency to inject intravenous contrast agents.
• Advanced knowledge of cross section anatomy.

Kind And Length Of Experience

• Adequate clinical experience from an approved program.
