Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist for our Corinth facility. This full-time role focuses on patient safety and high-quality MR imaging on-site and remotely, with collaboration among radiologists and staff.

Ideal candidates have ARRT MR/ARMRIT certification, CPR, and ability to work at multiple locations; a state license may be required. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; ARRT/ARRT MR or ARMRIT required per contract.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification or equivalent approved by contract.
• State license if applicable; CPR Certification.
• MR registry preferred; ARRT certification may be required by contract.
• Must be able to work at multiple locations and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screening for contraindications.
• Acquire high-quality MR images and operate MR systems.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, staff, patients, and customers.
• Train/orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR technologist assistants on-site or remotely.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

We are currently hiring for a MRI Tech at our Corinth facility. This will be a Full Time position.

As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/ or remote. Ensures effective communication with Radiologist, team members, patients, and customers for those who work in the mobile environment. When required, trains, and orients new technologists, Patient Coordinators and/or MR Technologist Assistants.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images. Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.
• Demonstrates the ability to use all channels of communications to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• Technologists registered in other modalities: 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
• Local travel may be required.

Preferred:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
• 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience
