Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week onsite contract in Charlotte, NC 28203. Night shift 12 hours, 1900-0730, 3 days/week, with on-call rotation depending on team size. Responsibilities include performing MRI exams on adults and pediatrics using EPIC EMR and Siemens 1.5T equipment.

ARRT or NMTCB MR certification and BLS required; state licensure not required. Travelers receive competitive weekly stipends of $1,477 and base pay of $21-$25/hour.

Qualifications

• ARRT/MR or NMTCB MR certification required; BLS required; state licensure not required.
• Minimum 1 year radiology/imaging experience.
• Proficient with EPIC EMR and MRI workflows.
• Able to work night shift and travel contract conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams for adults and pediatrics with Siemens 1.5T.
• Operate EPIC EMR and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with radiology team and adhere to contract rotations.
• Follow night shift schedule and on-call rotation as needed.

Department Information:

• Average patients/day: 40-45

Minimum Years of Experience required: 1 year

• Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Adults and Pediatrics from ED, ICUs, Nursing units and outpatients across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnosis'

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• ARRT(R) or NMTCB, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
• BLS
• State Licensure is not required

Skills required:

• Confident of their clinical skill sets with ability to work in a fast paced, high patient acuity environment. Good communication skills and attitude of helpfulness and teamwork strongly preferred

Support within the Department:

• All departments have a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager. Diverse team with various years of experience from new grads to long tenure teammates.

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• Department specific Equipment: Siemens 1.5T magnets

Floating: If yes, where:

• No

Orientation (facility and unit):

• Facility tour, departmental tour with introductions.
• 5 days departmental orientation but flexible based on needs of traveler

Scheduling:

• Rotations: No rotations between weekends and weekdays. Travelers would stay on days and shifts per the contract.
• Call requirement: Call varies and is staffed with a fair rotation between full time, part time, PRN and Traveler teammates. Frequency depends on the size of the team based on fair rotation to share the responsibility equally.
• Holiday Expectations: Travelers will be expected to help holiday coverage unless approved off in advance.
• RTO: Manager approval
• Shift times: We are staffed 24/7/365 so travelers would fill whatever shift is currently vacant. Not rotating but per contract on 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts or weekends based on need.
• Schedule cycle: Traveler contract are 13 weeks and travelers would work the same shift and times as agreed upon in the contract.
