Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at our Brookfield, CT facility for a full-time, on-site role. The technologist ensures patient safety, performs high-quality MR studies, and collaborates with radiologists and staff. Training and orientation of new technologists may be required.

Requirements include ARRT MR or ARMRIT as applicable, CPR, and state licensure if required; flexibility to travel between locations may apply. Eligible for benefits and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies.

• Train and orient new technologists and assistants on-site or remotely.
• Support remote or on-site imaging, as needed; adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.

We are currently hiring for a MRI Technologist at our Brookfield facility. This will be a Full Time position.

As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/ or remote. Ensures effective communication with Radiologist, team members, patients, and customers for those who work in the mobile environment. When required, trains, and orients new technologists, Patient Coordinators and/or MR Technologist Assistants.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite.

• Produces high quality diagnostic images. Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.

• Demonstrates the ability to use all channels of communications to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.

• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.

• Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.

• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.

• State license, if applicable.

• CPR Certification

• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.

• Technologists registered in other modalities: 3 months supervised MRI clinical scrolling experience OR currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.

• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required

• Ability to work at several locations.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

• The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.

• Local travel may be required.

Preferred:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.

• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.

• 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience.

Eligibility for benefits will vary based on role type and hours worked.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in CT is $29.90 - $53.60. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
