Job summary

Appalachian Regional Medical Associates is seeking a Mobile MRI Technologist in Boone, NC to perform MRI imaging and deliver compassionate patient care. You will collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality diagnostics while adhering to policies and safety standards.

The role requires ARRT/CNMT, MRI experience, and BLS certification, with a starting compensation of $33.93/hour and a benefits package including health, retirement, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited radiologic technology education program with ARRT or CNMT registration.
• Six months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience and related degree.
• Ability to complete the MRI orientation program.
• ARRT-MR required within 2 years of hire and BLS at time of hire.

What You'll Do as a Mobile MRI Technologist

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited radiologic technology education program; ARRT or CNMT registered.
• Experience:
  • Six months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience, and an Associate degree in an allied health field, or a Bachelor's degree and certification in another clinical field with six months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience.
  • Ability to complete the MRI orientation program.
• Licensure/Certifications:
  • ARRT-MR required within 2 years of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required at time of hire.
• Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work within the chain of command using positive verbal and non-verbal techniques.
  • Competence in delivering safe, effective patient care within the limits of license, certifications, and hospital policy.
  • Knowledge of the continuum of care provided in the patient care department.
  • Exceptional customer service for patients, families, staff, and physicians.

Physical & Work Environment

• Continuous standing and walking, often 8+ hours per shift; frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, turning, and reaching.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull 50+ lbs, and frequently mobilize patients.
