Job summary

Mission Health in Asheville, NC seeks an MRI Technologist to provide MRI imaging using advanced equipment. You will perform a range of MRI procedures, maintain sterile technique when needed, and assist physicians.

You will manipulate images for interpretation and store them on the network, working with minimal supervision and applying independent judgment in a busy MRI suite. Qualifications include graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program, ARRT and/or ARMRIT MRI registration, BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• Must be ARRT and/or ARMRIT registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. BLS certified.
• Two years of experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology department or MRI clinical education.

Responsibilities

• Provide imaging services utilizing MRI equipment.
• Perform a variety of MRI procedures, invasive and non-invasive.
• Manipulate images for interpretation and store them on the network.
• Maintain safety and sterile technique as required; assist physicians.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI technologist must demonstrate the ability and the competency to provide imaging services utilizing Magnetic Resonance medical equipment. The MRI technologist performs a variety of MRI procedures, invasive and non-invasive on a variety of patients. In doing so the MRI technologist is required to utilize sterile technique if necessary, operating complex MRI equipment and assist physicians as needed. The MRI technologist is responsible for the manipulation of computer data and images for interpretation, and reproducing them on film, and /or the utilization of a networking system for permanent storage. This position will function without constant supervision. Independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative are essential. Responsibility for designated areas and procedures is assumed. The MRI technologist is responsible for the safety of patients and staff in the MRI suite, and implemental in patient MRI screening.

What qualifications you will need:

1. Required Education: Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
2. Required License: Must be ARRT and/or ARMRIT registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. BLS certified.
3. Required Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology department or have approved experience gained through a clinical education program in MRI.
