Job summary

Rezolut is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our onsite imaging team in Allentown, PA. Under supervision, you will perform diagnostic MRI exams and ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnoses.

The role emphasizes patient positioning, safety, and collaboration with radiologists and staff to deliver efficient, patient-centered care. ARRT/ ARMRIT and CPR/BLS are required or attainable certification.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience with MRI scanning technology and patient positioning.

Responsibilities

• Performs all required diagnostic MRI exams in a timely manner.
• Positions patients for exams, ensuring comfortable and accurate positioning.
• Monitors the condition of patients in the department and assists the radiologist or other physicians as needed.
• Interprets physician instructions and selects software options and imaging parameters when adjusting an MRI machine.
• Ensures exams include accurate clinical and demographic information and high quality images.
• Screens patients for precautions or contraindications prior to entering the magnetic field.

Job Summary:

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the MRI Technologist will perform all required diagnostic scanning procedures to produce consistent, high-quality examinations.

Essential Functions of an MRI Technologist:

• Performs all required diagnostic MRI exams in a timely manner.
• Positions patients for exams, ensuring comfortable and accurate positioning.
• Monitors the condition of patients in the department and assists the radiologist or other physicians in performing needed medical attention.
• Interprets physician instructions and select software options and imaging parameters when adjusting an MRI machine
• Assures all exams include accurate clinical and demographic information and high quality, complete images
• Screens patients for any precautions or contraindications prior to them entering the magnetic field and thoroughly research all implants, devices, etc.
• Works as part of a team to assist radiologists, fellow technologists and office staff as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Possesses a skilled level and working knowledge of MRI scanning technology.
• Communicates with radiologists and other healthcare providers about images and patient care.
• Initiative to obtain additional scans, views, or extremely technical factors to provide maximum information for the radiologist to make an accurate diagnosis.
• Maintain sensitivity to physical and psychological needs of patients
• Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.

Education and Experience:

• ARRT/ ARMRIT Certification
• CPR/ BLS Certification

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Work generally does not involve occupational risk; however, failure to follow established procedures and safety practices could result in minor injury, e.g., minor cuts, needle punctures, bruises from falls on slippery floors, or back injuries sustained while assisting in moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials.
