Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas invites applications for an MRI Technologist Trainee. This role provides hands-on experience within an accredited MRI training program, guided by experienced technologists in a leading health system.

You will gain proficiency in MRI operations, patient care, and safety protocols while contributing to patient-centered imaging services. Under supervision, you will assist with scans across multiple body regions, participate in training, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Radiology is required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited MRI technologist training program.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing MRI scans under supervision of licensed MRI Technologists.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and explaining the process.
• Support MRI operations, including patient positioning, scan prep, and safety protocols.
• Learn scanning techniques for various MRI and MRA studies (head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, extremities, breast).
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in accordance with hospital policies.
• Participate in training sessions and coursework as part of an accredited MRI program.
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork to support patient-centered care.
