Job summary

OSU-Center for Health Sciences is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to support clinical and research imaging, including pediatric patients as part of the NIH HBCD study. You will assist patients, position them in the scanner, and help collect imaging data according to established protocols, with and without MR contrast agents.

Candidates should have a radiologic technology degree, ARRT or ARMRIT registration, and at least one year of MRI experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience with operation of MR scanner and peripheral instrumentation (e.g., contrast injector, GFR measurement, etc.).
  • At least 1 year’s experience as an MRI Technologist performing clinical diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

  • The MRI Technologist will perform standard clinical and advanced research magnetic resonance imaging, particularly with babies and children as part of the NIH HBCD study.
  • Assist patients and position them in the scanner, and collect imaging data according to standard protocols with and without MR contrast agents.

About This Position

This is a Part-Time position working up to 20 hours per week with schedule flexability. The MRI Technologist will perform standard clinical and advanced research magnetic resonance imaging, particularly with babies and children as part of the NIH HBCD study. These responsibilities include patient assistance and positioning in the scanner, and collection of imaging data according to standard protocols both with and without MR contrast agents.

Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent. Vocational/Technical
  • Experience with operation of MR scanner and peripheral instrumentation (e.g., contrast injector, GFR measurement, etc.).
  • At least 1 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist performing clinical diagnostic imaging
Certifications, Registrations, And/or Licenses:
  • Certified and Registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from either ARRT or ARMRIT.
Skills, Proficiencies, And/or Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Skilled in delivery of patient care and MRI procedures, start IV (including difficult sticks), contrast administration, and collection of imaging data according to standard protocols.
  • Experience with operation of MR scanner and peripheral instrumentation (e.g., contrast injector, GFR measurement, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with a Siemens XA30 software platform is preferable.
  • More than 3 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist performing clinical diagnostic imaging
  • Training and experience with breast imaging
