Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL seeks an MRI Technologist (Multi-Modality) for a PRN role with a days-with-call schedule.

The technician will perform diagnostic imaging across modalities, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with radiology staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Florida CRT license and ARRT certification (or within 12 months) are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Diploma/Certification from certified imaging program required.
• 1+ year of Radiology or Ultrasound technologist experience; acute care preferred.
• 6 months of experience in two or more modalities (CT, MR, IR, NM, US, or Cath Lab).
• Current Florida CRT license with fluoroscopy if required; ARRT license required or obtained within 12 months.

Job Overview

The Multi-Modal Technologist reports to the designated leader(s) within the Radiology/Imaging Department. This position performs diagnostic procedures with skill and without requiring constant supervision in more than one (1) modality, OR, two (2) specialties within the same modality. This position will require independent judgment and initiative of a technical level. Experience in Breast Ultrasound preferred.

• Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.

• Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
• Must have working knowledge of computers and basic management applications.
• Treats everyone as a guest by making a good first impression, anticipating needs and displaying service recovery skills
• Demonstrates professionalism and excellence by looking professional, being accountable for actions and delivering excellence in our everyday work.
• Practices teamwork by participating in decision making and process improvement, communicating effectively and focusing on the problem/issue, not the person.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivilent required.
• Diploma / Certification from certified school of Primary Imaging Modality required.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a Radiology Technologist or Ultra Sound Technologist required, acute care experience preferred.
• Six (6) months of experience in two (2) or more modalities (i.e. CT, MR, IR, NM, US, or Cath Lab) required, acute care experience preferred.
• Current Florida Radiology Technologist (CRT) license with fluoroscopy licensure if required by state.
• Current American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required Or - must be obtained within 12 months of start date and maintained current thereafter.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
