Job summary

Premier Health's Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, OH is seeking an MRI Tech to independently perform MRI studies with correct techniques and contrast administration. You will coordinate patient flow and scanner operations while maintaining MRI safety and equipment condition.

The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma or Associate’s degree in Radiology, CPR within 30 days, ARRT MRI (R) or ARMRIT certification, and may gain exposure to other imaging modalities or be on call as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Diploma Program/associate’s degree in Radiology.
• Additional requirements: Allied Health focus; Medical Imaging Sciences with MRI physics coursework or to be completed within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs MRI using proper techniques and administration of contrast media.
• Coordinates patient flow and MRI scanner activities while ensuring MRI safe practices.
• Maintains equipment and uses professional judgment to ensure good working condition.
• May perform other imaging modalities per departmental needs and may have on-call responsibilities.

Job Title: MRI Tech

Unit: Medical Imaging

Shift: Full-Time-Days (10a-6:30p)

Facility: Atrium Medical Center

Independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner including MRI safe practices. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.

Education Required

• Minimum Level of Education: Diploma Program/associate’s degree-Radiology
• Additional requirements:
  • Type of degree: Allied Health
  • Area of study or major: Medical Imaging Sciences to include additional MRI physics coursework or completed within 6 months of hire

Education Preferred

• Associate degree, graduate of an accredited program or currently enrolled in a multi-modality program with board certification in MRI.

Licensure/Certification/Registration Required

• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire \--ARRT RT (R) registry or ARMRIT
