AdventHealth seeks a skilled MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams with precision while upholding patient safety and comfort. You will assess patient history, screen for contraindications, and educate patients on procedures and contrast use.

Responsibilities include IV contrast administration, monitoring for reactions, and meticulous EMR/PACS documentation. Strong communication and adaptability in a dynamic radiology team are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification strongly preferred.
• ARRT MR (or ARMRIT) registration or eligible.
• Experience with MRI safety, contrast administration, and patient care.

Responsabilidades

• Review patient history and screen for MRI safety risks.
• Educate patients and families about MRI procedures and safety.
• Administer IV contrast per safety guidelines and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.

Job Description: $10,000 Sign On Bonus Work Schedule: 3p- 11:30pm. One call week required every 10 weeks.

Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety. Reviews patient history and screens all patients for MRI safety compliance, including contraindications such as implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, and contrast allergies. Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions to promote comfort and cooperation. Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions. Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.

• Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required]
• Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required]
• Ability to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail [Required]
• Excellent customer service skills [Required]
• Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients and hospital personnel [Required]
• Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical personnel that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the organization [Required]

Pay Range: $30.45 - $56.64
