Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across age groups, under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will deliver high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and adhere to established imaging protocols.

Ideal candidates will have AMA/JRCERT training, ARRT registration, BLS, and a commitment to compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all MRI procedures on patients of all age groups.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies in all non-scanner related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Education

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

Work Experience

• No experience required
• 6 months as an MRI Technologist Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) Required
• BLS - Basic Life Support Required
