Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in California seeks an MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging care for patients of all ages to aid diagnosis and treatment. This per diem position involves rotating shifts and requires strong English communication and safety practices.

You will work under the Director of Imaging Services, perform MRI procedures, and ensure adherence to licensure and credential requirements. Prior radiology experience is preferred for efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• CA Radiologic Technology certification required or eligible.
• ARRT registration preferred for MRI technologists.
• MRI board certification or eligibility is required or expected.
• Must obtain MRI license within 18 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide magnetic resonance imaging care to patients of all ages for diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate MRI equipment and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Perform duties as required by the department and reporting manager.

Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, the MRI Technologist provides magnetic resonance imaging care to patients of all ages for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Performs other duties as required.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

• Certification in Radiologic Technology by the State of California,
• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (preferred).
• MRI Board Certified or Board eligible.
• Must obtain MRI license within 18 months of assuming position.

TRAINING: X-ray & MRI

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 YEARS

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
