UT Health Jacksonville is seeking a day shift MRI Technologist for Unit A in Jacksonville, TX. The role performs MRI procedures to aid in diagnosis while working under the Imaging Department Director and MRI supervisor.

This is a day shift and PRN position with potential overtime and on-call duties. Qualified candidates must be ARRT MR registered or registry eligible, obtain MRI registry within one year of hire, and maintain active certification.

UT Health Jacksonville features 33 operational beds, an ICU, a 24-hour ED designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility, a maternity unit, advanced diagnostic technology, surgical suites, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, a wound healing center, and a UT Health East Texas Olympic Center fitness and rehabilitation facility.

Responsibilities

Performs MRI procedures in order to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Functions under the direction of the Imaging Department Director (or designee), the MRI supervisor and in cooperation with the radiologists. This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Registered or registry eligible with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
• Registry eligible candidates must obtain MRI registry within one year of hire and maintain active certification throughout employment.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in operating MRI scanners
• Ability to start IV lines and administer contrast media, including knowledge of contrast reactions and appropriate interventions
