Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking an experienced imaging leader to supervise radiology operations, ensure staff competency, and maintain high-quality MRI performance in a busy clinical setting. You will work with physicians and administrators to standardize practices, drive quality, and manage budgets and resources across locations.

The role requires leadership experience, ARRT/ARMRIT certification, and relevant imaging education.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Medical Imaging is required.
• ARMRIT MR certification and ARRT certification are required.
• Basic Life Support certification is preferred/noted.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations for assigned radiology locations.
• Ensure imaging studies are performed by qualified staff and follow MRI safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with leaders, physicians, and staff to standardize practices across locations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, address workflow and staffing issues.
• Oversee quality management initiatives and accreditation processes (ACR).

Job Duties

• Day-to-day supervision for assigned location(s) including human resources management, operations, relationship development, financial/budget management, legal and regulatory compliance, strategic planning, staff productivity, space planning, and capital equipment planning and installation oversight.
• Ensures that all imaging studies are performed by qualified and competent staff, are of the highest quality achievable and follow the ACR Guidelines for MRI Safety and/or other applicable professional organization guidelines.
• Works collaboratively and in partnership with leaders, physicians, and staff to ensure consistent practices across all modality locations.
• Ensures compliance with system and departmental policies and procedures. Works directly with team leaders and/or modality managers and/or directors to resolve problems, workflow, customer service and human resource issues.
• Implements new initiatives, programs and policies. Participates in quality management programs.
• Collaborates with the radiology management team, physicians, and staff to ensure the best possible patient experience while maintaining departmental standards for cost effective care, safety, quality, service, and teamwork.
• Manages, oversees, maintains and improves business functions and processes for assigned locations.
• Responsible for oversight of the ACR accreditation processes for assigned areas.

Position Details

• Radiography (ARRT-R), MRI (ARRT-MR), or ARMRIT required upon hire.
• ABMRS MRSO required within 2 years from date of hire.

Education

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Medical Imaging (Required), Bachelor's Degree- (Preferred)

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years-Leadership (Required), Minimum of 3 years-Related work experience (Required)

Certification(s) and License(s)

• Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist RT(R)(MR) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
