Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Imaging required or Bachelor’s Degree Health Sciences preferred.
• NH Radiologic Technologist license; MR license; ARRT-MR; and BLS certifications required.
• 5–7 years radiology/MRI experience; 2–3 years leadership experience.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, teaching/motivation, and business acumen skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operations management, identify inefficiencies, optimize workflow, quality improvement, and implement new practices.
• Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage clinical staff, scheduling, triage duties, and serve as a resource to staff.
• Develop fiscal operating budget and monitor expenditures; assist in variance reporting.
• Oversee clinical activities for students to ensure alignment with core curriculum and future employment opportunities within MGB.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and industry trends.

We have an exciting opportunity for an MRI Operations Manager to join our amazing team of MRI Technologists. We work in a collaborative fast-paced environment with a focus on safe, high-quality patient care using our new Philips Blue Seal Magnets.

This position will oversee our Hospital MRI department and our off-site locations in Lee & Portsmouth (Pease), NH.

Summary: Responsible for oversight and management of the MRI department. Ensures smooth operations management of the department, effective budgetary and strategic results, and subject matter expert. Responsibilities include compliance of regulatory and industry trends as well as education of radiology changes and improvements for staff and other leadership.

Essential Functions

• Provide operations management, identify operational inefficiencies, operational flow, quality improvement, performance measurement, and implementation of new practices
• Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards and all related regulatory requirements
• Management of clinical staff, staff scheduling, triage duties, and is a resource to staff
• Development of fiscal operating budget, ongoing assessment, investigating practices to remain within the budget and opportunities for improvement, and assists in variance reporting
• Management of clinical activities for students to ensure they are meeting core curriculum requirements and encourage opportunities for future employment within MGB
• Ensures compliance of all regulatory obligations (federal, state, etc.) and industry trends

Education

Associate’s Degree Diagnostic Imaging required or Bachelor’s Degree Health Sciences preferred

Licenses and Credentials

Radiologic Technologist, NH State License;
MR, NH State License;
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging [ARRT-MR]; and BLS required.

Experience

Radiology tech/MRI experience with multiple patient populations 5-7 years required; leadership experience 2-3 years required.
