Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Specific training in Magnetic Resonance Technology is mandatory.
A minimum of one year of experience in MRI is preferred.
Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology is essential.
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists is required.
Must hold a Texas Department of Health Medical Radiologic Technologist General License.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Ability to participate in Departmental Call Rotation is a must.
Responsibilities
Perform quality MRI procedures accurately and promptly.
Operate MRI equipment and develop films.
Prepare patient's room, equipment, supplies, and medications.
Provide patient services using imaging modalities.
Practice proper safety techniques on all exams performed.
