Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine seeks a Teaching & Research Faculty member to advance a multidisciplinary research portfolio in plastic, reconstructive, and burn surgery. The role emphasizes MRI-based imaging and collaboration with radiology, engineering, and clinical teams.

You will develop and execute research programs, secure extramural funding, and contribute to education and scholarly activities while mentoring trainees and junior investigators.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, PhD or equivalent terminal degree.
• Proven research experience in plastic/reconstructive surgery or related fields.
• Strong record of peer‑reviewed publications and scholarly activity.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary research teams.

Responsabilités

• Develop and lead an independent and collaborative research program.
• Support extramural funding initiatives and grant applications.
• Develop MRI-based imaging research protocols and methodologies.
• Mentor residents, fellows, and research staff in methods and scholarship.
• Collaborate across divisions and external partners to advance translational research.
