Job summary

Arkansas Surgical Hospital in North Little Rock, AR, seeks an experienced Radiology Technologist to perform MRI, CT, and ultrasound imaging and contribute to high-quality patient care.

The role involves patient interviews, safety protocols, accurate data entry, and adherence to department standards while supporting radiologists and physicians in diagnostic imaging. This position reports to the Radiology Manager and supports a patient-centered imaging service.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification and ARRT registration with the State of Arkansas.
• Minimum of two years' experience as a technologist in a surgical setting or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate MRI, CT, Diagnostic Imaging, C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment according to protocol.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to obtain history and inform about safety, contrast media contraindications and procedures.
• Maintains a safe environment in the MRI Suite for patients, staff and visitors.
• Positions patients and provides instructions on breathing, communication, and sequences/exams.
• Enters patient information accurately and selects appropriate protocols and techniques.
• Produces imaging of quality for radiologist interpretation and completes archiving duties.
• Performs PACS duties and exam import.
• Assists with C-arm, fluoroscopy, CT, and procedural tech tasks as needed and adheres to attendance and on-call duties.
• Demonstrates KWAKT, HEAL, SOB, AIDET principles in daily practice and department workflows.
• Upholds customer service and quality improvement in day-to-day activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient care and hospital information; adheres to HR policies on conduct.
• Fosters positive relationships and follows the chain of command when issues arise.
• Applies age/development considerations in patient interactions.
