Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a Machine Repair Journeyman to service and repair IS forming machinery on rotating shifts. The role focuses on upkeep, repair, and parts fabrication to keep all equipment running efficiently.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, operate lathes and milling machines, and hold a forklift license. This on-site position offers strong benefits and growth within a large glass packaging organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to operate a lathe and mill.
• Ability to obtain Forklift Operator License.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours.

Role description

The Machine Repair Journeyman serves as the subject matter expert concerning the repair of Individual Section (IS) machinery. This position is responsible for the upkeep and repair of parts and machinery on shift.

Compensation and Schedule

The starting pay rate for this role is $36.61 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Schedule: Rotating 8-hour shift

• Build and repair parts for all machinery

Minimum skills / qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
