Job title: Mowing Crew Technician

Job Details

• Immediate employment.
• Pay starts at $20.00; a higher rate of pay may be available if you have relevant experience. $1/hr. increase after 90 days and positive review.
• We work Monday-Friday starting at 7:30 am (the length of the day varies based on the weather & job).
• Spring, Summer, and Fall: The typical workweek is 40+ hours w/ overtime pay available.
• Winter: Guaranteed 20 hours of pay per week until Spring work begins.
• There is a potential for weekend/holiday work when poor weather shows its face.
• No experience is necessary; you just need to be willing to learn.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Mowing lawns with an Exmark Turf Tracer (60” cut).
• Operate a powered string trimmer.
• Operate a powered backpack blower.
• Assist Mowing Crew Leaders complete the assigned tasks for the day.
• Maintain the company’s professional image while performing job duties.

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to actively work on feet for the entire day.
• Availability that allows working long days during peak season.
• Anyone interested in driving for us must have a valid driver’s license as well as a willingness to complete driver qualification (Pass a DOT physical with a clean drug test).

Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to improve and maintain townhomes by mowing with an Exmark Turf Tracer, operate a string trimmer, and operate a backpack blower. While Horticulture Services welcomes relevant experience, extensive knowledge and background are not required for this position. Accordingly, there will be appropriate training and mentoring upon hire. Importantly, this position is guaranteed 20 hours of pay per week until April 1st (i.e., Spring) when 40 plus hours per week begin.
