Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. in Gardena, CA, is seeking a responsible General Manager Trainee to learn how to run a moving and storage center.

You will manage fleet, inventory, and customer service, and participate in ongoing U-Haul education to develop leadership and operational skills. Minimum 1–3 years of retail or service-industry management with P&L accountability, valid driver’s license, and ability to work weekends/holidays are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in retail or service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

As General Manager Trainee you will be able to see the ways to make our rental facilities profitable and efficient by keeping track of inventory and managing equipment. You will be solving problems as they arise. Managing a U-Haul moving and storage center is varied, fast-paced and rewarding work.

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

Pay Range is: $19.08 - $25.30 Hourly

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need.
