Job summary

Coleman Worldwide Moving is seeking a Mover to provide customer service by assisting in packing and loading household goods safely and efficiently. You will work with supplies provided and help ensure accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include packing, inventory listing, charging calculations, labeling, answering customer questions, performing pre-trip inspections with drivers, and assisting with loading and warehouse duties as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• On-site safety training course is required.
• Forklift operation experience is preferred.
• Previous packing experience is preferred.

Job description

Job Summary:

The Mover will provide customer service by assisting in the packing and loading of household goods in a safe, timely and efficient manner

Essential Functions:

• Pack household belongings for customers using supplies supplied by the company
• List household belongings on inventory sheets as they are packed and wrap household goods between residence and vehicle
• Compute charges and capture information on bills of lading
• Mark boxes with appropriate inventory tags to ensure proper documentation
• Answer any questions the customer may have regarding packing of their belongings
• Pre-trip inspections alongside drivers of all aspects of equipment including truck interior, straps and tensioners, walk-boards, etc.
• Assist as needed in loading trucks and/or containers for forward movement via interstate commerce
• Lift and carry household goods between residence and vehicle
• Perform work at warehouse as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of proper packing procedures
• Good communications skills
• Must be willing to travel (local, intrastate and interstate)

Required Education and Experience:

• Required: High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: Previous packing experience
• Preferred: Ability to operate a forklift
• Required: On-site safety training course

Working Conditions:

• Indoors and outdoors
• Lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
• Frequent squatting and bending
• Frequent use of stairs
