Job summary

Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island is seeking an instructor to lead a year-round movement program featuring Zumba, rhythmic dance, yoga, pilates and tai chi.

Under the Program Coordinator, you will set up and break down equipment, demonstrate techniques, and provide training to participants of various ages.

A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience teaching movement classes are required; 18+ years old.

Overview

Under the general direction of the Program Coordinator, this position is responsible for conducting activities at various indoor facilities for a year specific movement programs ie; Zumba, rhythmic dance, yoga, pilates, thai chi etc. Responsibilities include set up and break down of equipment/activities, providing training to students who wish to learn the fundamentals of specific discipline and improve skills. Instructors report directly to the Program Coordinator.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience teaching movement classes. (18 years of age minimum requirement).
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position.
