Job summary

PEG Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform light construction and repair across our apartment properties. You will handle carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, and custodial tasks to ensure units are move-in ready.

The role demands solid customer service and clear communication with residents and staff. You must be able to work after hours and occasional weekends, hold a valid driver's license, and follow safety protocols and SDS/PPE requirements.

Qualifications

2 years of apartment maintenance experience or equivalent.
2 years of direct customer service experience with residential or other clients.
Certification or apprenticeship in areas of maintenance (e.g., HVAC, pool, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
Written and verbal communication skills to understand work assignments and communicate effectively with employees and residents.
Ability to work after hours and occasionally on weekends.

Responsibilities

Carpentry: Remodel and repair work.
Minor repairs of drywall including patching, texturing and painting drywall repairs.
Replace and repair unit plumbing (toilets, faucets, or drains).
Light electrical repairs to include replacing outlets and switches, bulbs, and light fixtures.
Maintain the exterior building exterior to include light painting, power washing, sweeps, grounds cleaning, light landscaping, repairing or replacement of fixtures, and snow/ice removal.
