Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for a 12-HR days shift in Springfield, MO. The role focuses on coordinating shipping documents, preparing export documents, and ensuring accurate data entry in BAAN/SAP.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least 1 year in shipping/administration, and competence with MRP and MS Office. Must be able to operate a lift truck and pass licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED from an accredited institution and at least 1-year experience in an administrative support role and/or shipping/receiving position at a manufacturing facility or distribution center.
• Ability to use computer systems including MRP and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in local language, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to do mathematical functions, including add, subtract, multiply, divide, interpret Pareto Charts, Bar graphs, Flow charts, and other quality tools

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, filing, and accuracy of shipping documents.
• Prepare shipping documents, including out of country shipments. Ensures required documents are accurately completed and maintained in an orderly file.
• Accurately and timely completes entries into BAAN/SAP.
• Creates plan shipment documents.
• Provides backup coverage for Logistics Specialist and other department employees when assigned.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck, and have or be able to obtain a forklift truck license.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Purpose

The Shipping & Receiving Operator coordinates shipping documents and reconciles production reporting daily; prepares transport documents for out of country shipments.
