Job summary

McCarthy Tire Service is seeking a Mounted Wheel Technician to dismount and mount tires on rims, balancing as required and maintaining safety.

You will load and unload equipment, operate tire changers and balancers, inspect tires and wheels, and document all work per company procedures while supporting a strong safety culture and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to assist with other job duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Dismount tires from wheels and mount tires onto rims according to standards.
• Balance tires using approved equipment to ensure safety.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers or box trucks as needed.
• Operate tire service equipment, including changers and balancers, with proper maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and handle materials safely.
• Inspect tires and wheels to identify defects and mark items as required.
• Determine when tires or wheels should be repaired or replaced.
• Document and communicate all work performed per company procedures.
• Follow safety, attendance, teamwork, training, and operational policies.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.

Balance tires using approved balancing equipment to ensure proper performance and safety.

Assist with loading and unloading trailers or box trucks as needed.

Operate tire service equipment, including tire changers, balancers, and related tools, while ensuring proper care and maintenance of all equipment.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring materials and equipment are handled safely.

Inspect tires and wheels to identify acceptable and defective conditions and clearly mark items as required.

Demonstrate the ability to determine when tires, wheels, or related components should be repaired or replaced.

Accurately document and communicate all work performed in accordance with company procedures.

Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, attendance, teamwork, training, and operational processes.

Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities may arise, and the technician is expected to approach new tasks with a positive and flexible attitude.

Education and Experience
