Job summary

Crystal Mountain Resort is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic I to inspect and maintain company vehicles on site in Crystal Mountain, WA. The role reports to the Director of Fleet and Facilities and supports Mountain Operations with preventive maintenance and repairs.

Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience, High School diploma, valid driver's license, and a preference for skiing/snowboarding are required. The position offers a dynamic mountain environment and industry perks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years automobile or equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of automotive and mechanic problem solving.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of State and Federal DOT regulations.
• Knowledge of the OBD-II system.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical and engine defects in buses and other automotive equipment, including diesel engines.
• Diagnostic troubleshooting and repair of engine codes under the OBD-II system.
• Prep vehicles for service, including cleaning and washing.
• Ensure proper operation of engines, tools and equipment by checking for worn parts and performing preventive maintenance.
• Change oil filters, install anti-freeze, snow chains, repair tires and brakes; lubricate chassis.
• Maintain logs and work sheets of inspection and maintenance performed on all equipment.
