The Carter Lumber Moulding Department Production Specialist is responsible for assembling wood components accurately to ensure a quality product is produced. You’ll schedule and track work orders, operate moulding equipment, and ensure components meet specifications and are stored properly.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and the ability to work at a fast pace in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with moulding machines, woodworking tools, and general manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and perform repetitious tasks.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes moulding work orders to confirm correct materials and specifications.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts of moulded components and raw materials.
• Sets up moulding machines and the work area to match production needs.
• Performs repetitive moulding and finishing tasks.
• Uses hand tools and measuring devices to size, fit, and inspect wood components.
• Keeps production on track and adjusts work to meet daily goals while maintaining quality.
• Adheres to safety requirements by operating equipment and handling material safely.
• Reports any defects or safety issues to a supervisor immediately.
