Ring's End, Inc in Milford, CT is seeking a full-time Moulder Operator to safely produce high quality millwork in a wood shop environment. You will set up, operate, and tend to woodworking machines and manage lumber and raw materials to meet customer specs.

The role emphasizes independence and precision within our craftsman team. Responsibilities include selecting tools, running moulding operations, recording production data, and supporting CNC operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 to 6 months machine operating experience and/or training.
• Stand/walk, use hands and arms, and reach during work.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders to determine profile and stock requirements.
• Selects and installs cutting heads and tooling per pattern.
• Runs moulding process, inspects profiles, and adjusts as needed.
• Operates machine to cut wood to customer specs and schedule.
• Checks lengths and quality; changes tooling when worn.
• Completes production records with quantity, footage, profiles, and species.
• Works on bench for glue ups and constructs millwork per specs.
• Provides support to CNC operators.
• Maintains housekeeping and proper material utilization.

Ring's End, Inc. of Milford, CT is hiring a full-time Moulder Operator to safely produce high quality millwork in a wood shop environment, for both custom and stock inventory. This person will set up, operate, and tend to various woodworking machines and equipment. Position Summary:

Operates wood moulding equipment, maintaining production records and communications associated with activities of equipment, product, and customers specifications. Assumes responsibility of the moulder, its mechanical condition and safe operation, performance in product quality and production output. Responsible for housekeeping, proper material utilization, employee relationships and supporting company goals.

Duties:

• Reads work order to determine profile type to determine machine setup procedures and type of wood stock to be cut.
• Selects and installs cutting heads and all related tooling on machine according to pattern to be run.
• Runs wood stock through moulder and inspects for proper profile specifications and makes any required adjustments before producing order.
• Operates machine, cutting wood to customer specifications and following production schedule.
• Periodically checks for proper lengths and quality. Changes tooling when torn.
• Completes production records indicating quantity, footage produced, profiles, species, customer identification etc.
• Work on the bench's doing glue ups and constructing various types of millwork per specs provided.
• Provide support to CNC operators.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and determine when maintenance is needed.
• Possess strong mechanical aptitude and able to use hand tools, read blueprints and measuring instruments.
• Attention to detail & experience working in fast paced environment.
• Positive attitude, and self-motivated.
