Job summary

Hendrick Motorsports is seeking an Electrical Engineer to advance electrical systems for NASCAR Cup Series. You will bridge the Vehicle Production Electrical and Vehicle Engineering teams, delivering end-to-end solutions from design to hands-on testing and data analysis.

The role combines analog/digital circuit design, wire harness and PCB development, and motorsport control/DAQ software with mechatronics skills.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design and soldering with PCB assembly and rework.
  • Experience with DMMs, oscilloscopes, and lab equipment for testing.
  • Ability to develop test strategies and wire/control test equipment.
  • Knowledge of CAN/LIN communication protocols in automotive environments.
  • Experience with motorsport electrical systems and data acquisition software.

Responsibilities

  • Own and advance electrical systems for NASCAR Cup Series vehicles from design to validation.
  • Design and troubleshoot analog/digital circuits; develop wiring harnesses and PCB layouts.
  • Integrate modules from multiple vendors into a single vehicle electrical system.
  • Work with CAN/LIN networks to ensure reliable system communication.
  • Set up and maintain DAQ/PLC test rigs and data acquisition software.
  • Troubleshoot test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and document results.
  • Collaborate with Vehicle Production Electrical and Vehicle Engineering teams.
