Electric Machinery Company, a division of WEG Electric Corp., in Minneapolis, MN, is hiring for an Assembler on 2nd shift. The role focuses on assembling motors, generators and drives as part of the Assembly Team.

The position emphasizes safety, quality compliance, and teamwork within a union setting. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate cranes and forklifts.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to be certified in overhead and Jib crane operation and forklift operation.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work in small teams to assemble product

Responsibilities

• Assembles rotor assembly on synchronous, induction/turbo and laminated spider jobs.
• Assembles exciter rotor and stators.
• Final assembly of synchronous, vertical, turbo generator and induction motors.
• Set up and operate balance stand, large and Static.
• Lift and move materials using forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane or jib crane.
• Completes necessary QA/Customer documentation.
• Demonstrates a commitment to Continuous Improvement by identifying opportunities in day-to-day work.
