Motorboat Operator
Job Description
Operate small motor-driven boats and assist in navigational activities.
Daily Responsibilities
- Take depth soundings in turning basins.
- Maintain desired courses, using compasses or electronic navigational aids.
- Direct safety operations in emergency situations.
- Clean boats and repair hulls and superstructures with hand tools, paint, and brushes.
- Follow safety procedures to protect passengers, cargo, and vessels.
- Service motors by performing tasks such as changing oil and lubricating parts.
