Polk County is seeking a dedicated Motor Winder Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will be responsible for tasks like cutting, preparing, and inserting insulators into stator irons, checking stator irons on testers, and managing your workflow to ensure build schedule priorities are met.

Job Summary

  • Cut, prepare and insert insulators into the stator irons
  • Check stator irons on core loss tester
  • Perform wire prep (making coils), winding, harnessing, and labeling
  • Identify electrical configurations of all motor types
  • Modify or reconfigure motor to fit the demanded application
  • Manage work flow process to connect with order/component kitting to ensure priorities are set for build schedules (flexible)
  • Perform quality control testing after the stator is wound
  • Spot quality concerns and bring to attention of supervisor
  • Use good housekeeping and organizational skills to maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Other duties as assigned.
