Job summary

The National Park Service is seeking a Motor Vehicle Operator to support our road maintenance operations and fleet tasks. The role includes operating and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles and assisting with road crew activities as part of a dedicated team.

Career-Seasonal appointments provide the same benefits as Career appointments but are not year-round; you will work approximately January through November and be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.

Responsibilities

• Operates and performs operator maintenance on multiple types of motor vehicles to include: Trucks, Dump Trucks, Stake trucks.
• Operate vehicles with trailers to haul earth, gravel, and sand.
• Remove debris from roadways with truck mounted plows.
• Perform manual labor tasks as part of a road crew: roadside brushing, paint striping, sign installation, crack sealing, sealcoating.
