Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanic Helper to work at Fort Hood, TX. This role involves basic vehicle maintenance tasks, cleaning, lubricating, and handling parts while supporting the repair shop operations.

Responsibilities

• The Motor Vehicle Mechanic Helper performs a variety of tasks such as washing, cleaning, and lubricating vehicles; loading, unloading, and storing automotive parts and supplies; and maintaining work areas.
• Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Basic maintenance experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.
• U.S. Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma / GED.
• Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Compensation: $17.75.
• Hourly Health & Welfare: $5.09.
